Frequently Asked Questions

Our mission at Mathelots is to spread the love of the subject of mathematics. This entails providing the best quality maths education available only to the strongest maths students in the world to every one of our clients. We aim to reach everyone in the world through our programs and show that maths is beautiful, enjoyable and useful.

Success at competitive exams is thus not our primary objective, but merely a by-product of our excellent research-driven teaching methodologies.

We do not make promises of ranks or success at exams like a coaching program; we simply deliver the strongest possible education, curricula, teaching and mentorship that exists.

Success at exams happens as a beneficial side-effect. The top students in the world study with us anyway, so this is an expected outcome for us.

No, we are not open to investors in a debt or equity setting. We are completely bootstrapped from the ground up, and our independence gives us unique flexibility to collaborate with everyone, while maintaining our commitment to our mission and vision.

We are not chasing exits; we are building the future of maths education, and we wish to remain independent insofar as possible in our pursuit.

However, we are open to receiving donations from organisations that support our values and maths education globally, and we are always open to collaborating with anyone who is aligned with our mission

We are interested in building our pedagogical research facility at our main office (RPS Infinia 12th Avenue), to analyse and find efficient ways in which humans learn mathematical concepts. We design our own surveys and contest series, and challenges to collect research data, which, combined with our scientific tools and lived human experience and expertise, will help us improve all our programs.

We seek collaborations with research facilities around the world for the same purpose.

We are a for-profit private limited company. We believe that the best way of bringing about innovation and true revolution in maths education is through this structure.

We are confident in our strategies, methodologies, and our mission, and we stake our gains on the line to prove it!

We use our money wisely and with the goals of improving our programs for ourselves and all our customers over long time horizons.

We differ in both our teaching philosophy and our overall structure. Our programs are not designed for specific exams; rather, we build them in a custom way to provide a deeper understanding and mastery of the subject matter, agnostic to and beyond any exam. This enables us to reach scalability through our unique content, curriculum and style of teaching.

We optimise for efficiency and aim to deliver the maximum possible understanding and output in ability in the most condensed time period with carefully chosen examples and problems to minimise the amount of redundancy during practice.

We are not just carving out a niche in the maths education space; we are building an entire ecosystem of mathematics education at all levels, and we are building it slowly, meticulously, and steadily.

It is an additional bonus that our founder is distinguished and renowned globally as a leading trainer of the Indian IMO program, a worldwide IMO coach to dozens of nations, and a former member of the IMO PSC. His expertise and experience in the maths education and the olympiad space is the foremost among all in India.

Our banners can be found on our homepage mathelots.com. In particular, in October 2025 we will launch our “How To Think” series, our “Calculus series”, and our “IMO World Series”.

At this time, we do not use AI tools or any integrated automated systems for pedagogical purposes, although the tools may be useful for our technological setup. We keenly monitor the progress of AI for teaching purposes so that we may use any advancement of the technology in future, but as of now, we do not believe it is particularly beneficial.

The kind of maths education we offer relies heavily on individual discipline and motivation, and we provide custom content generated by years of experience and expertise, crafting the best elements of education across different cultures and curricula into our own.

Possibly, but one-on-one slots with Anant are exceptionally rare and may not be the most cost-effective solution for your child. We recommend group programs as they are designed to scale and provide the necessary background for your child to improve. Beyond a certain stage in mathematical experience and maturity, our one-on-one or one-on-many consultations with Anant may be more beneficial for your child.

Thank you for your interest in our company and our mission!
