About Book
Follow the journey of the ever-curious twins Sola and Luna as they accompany their all-knowing mentor and ancient adventurer Lucius on his journey to discover the paradise on the other side of the world, where they will learn the secret named all that there is to know.
This whimsical mathematical fantasy story is a first in the history of mathematics fiction. It attempts to showcase the joy of solving challenging mathematical puzzles embedded within the narrative of a medieval fantasy epic that tries to answer the titular question:
“What is all that there is to know?”
The book follows a unique dialogue and discovery-based approach to learning that transforms our twin protagonists from unknowing novice learners to capable problem-solvers, all while assuming zero knowledge of mathematics and logic from the reader.
Price: INR ₹ 729/- in India. (Outside SAARC countries: GBP £ 21/-)
"If you love maths, welcome! Else all the more reason to be here!"
The Author
Mr. Anant Mudgal has represented India as a member of the six-person Indian team to the International Mathematical Olympiad (IMO) in the years 2015, 2016, 2017, and 2018, winning an Honourable Mention, two Bronze Medals, and a Silver Medal, respectively.
Mr. Mudgal proposed Problem Six at the 60th IMO held in Bath, United Kingdom — the most difficult problem on the contest. He became the only Indian to have proposed Problem Six at the IMO, and among only five Indian problem-proposers to the IMO in its history of sixty-five years.
After completing his undergraduate education at the Chennai Mathematical Institute, he went on to pursue the Master of Advanced Study in Pure Mathematics — known as Part III of the Mathematical Tripos at Trinity College, University of Cambridge on the Ramanujan Research Studentship — a full scholarship typically offered to only one mathematics undergraduate student in India by Trinity College to commemorate the college’s historic connection to the legendary Indian mathematician Srinivasa Ramanujan.
He has been one of the leading coaches of the Indian IMO program and has been on numerous committees including the problem-selection committee of the Indian National Mathematical Olympiad and the Indian IMO Team Selection Tests. He served as Scientific Observer A to the Indian IMO Team to IMO 2023 held in Chiba, Japan, and was a Coordinator of the IMO at IMO 2024 held in Bath, United Kingdom.

Mr. Mudgal has also been involved in the training of IMO teams across the world and has taught students across five continents and fifteen countries. He has offered several guest lectures, training sessions, problem reviews, and individual training to students and programs in many countries, including, but not limited to, the United States of America, the United Kingdom, Canada, Ireland, Hungary, Malaysia, Brazil, Iran, and Sri Lanka, among several others.
After briefly joining a fully funded Ph.D. program in Pure Mathematics at the University of California, San Diego, he left for opportunities outside academia. Briefly, he worked at a top-tier quantitative trading firm in Singapore before eventually returning to India.
He now devotes himself to building his Mathematics Education Company Mathelots Pvt Ltd with the mission of providing high-quality mathematics education resources, methodologies, solutions, and technologies, to students in India and around the world, with the drive to teach mathematics the way it ought to be taught, and to provide excellent mathematics education to all.

The next Version Update is scheduled for July 21st, 2025. Interim updates are ongoing.
The debut project, “The Book of Zero Knowledge: In Search of All that there is to Know” is out on sale in the market from April 15th, 2025. Future projects will be updated on the website.
A hybrid program with a live component at our main office at RPS Infinia will be announced shortly, with a corresponding online component.
The Book of Zero Knowledge is an entirely self-contained work itself. Some readers may benefit from a video format discussion of the solutions to the mathematical puzzles in the book, so we decided to create this project for their convenience. The lectures are straight from the author.
Short answer: None and All simultaneously.
Long answer: At Mathelots, our training emphasises on “How to think” and problem-solving, and we aim to foster a deep love and passion for serious mathematical thinking. We believe this will result in a much higher proficiency at solving problems, which will benefit the student in every endeavour. Successful results in competitive exams will be a by-product, not our main point of focus. To that end, we design custom curricula for our courses and improvise them in real time with dynamic feedback from our students to meet our learning objectives. We are inspired by the tradition of mathematical olympiads, and favour proof-based, rigorous thinking as the mode for honing more subtle intuition.
At this time, we do not respond to mathematical queries. The material is, in principle, self-contained, but we understand that there may still be room for further explanations. You are welcome to suggest these or your specific queries through our contact form, but we will not respond to them directly — instead, we will implement any suitable changes by the next Version Update.
You are encouraged to reach out to us! We take feedback for improvements seriously and aim to update all identified issues, if any, by the earliest update cycle available.
Currently, we do not plan to use AI tools in the content itself. We have much higher confidence in human ability to craft better ideas, but we are open to AI usage in all non-teaching tasks. We intend to keep a watchful eye on the rapid progress in the fast-changing field of AI to see if ever a new technology can synchronise with our teaching goals and philosophy and integrate it accordingly.
We aim to collect in our live, hybrid and online classes analytics and metrics through our own unique intuition and technical strategies to research signals for teaching methodologies that will improve learning outcomes at scale.
Coming soon. We expect major updates by the next Version Update, but we will have many interim updates, so please keep checking the website!

One thing about the book that really stands out to me is the dialogue format it is written in. The reader gets an opportunity to travel and learn alongside Luna and Sola on their journey, right from the simplest of ideas to the more challenging ones.
